The only dinner planner that lives on your fridge

What's for dinner? Ask the fridge.

No more "what shall we have?", no more "I don't mind, you decide", no more 5pm takeaway because nobody could face choosing. Fridgeii plans the week in one tap and puts tonight on the fridge door, so the question just stops.

Android first, installs from Chrome · Play Store coming · iPhone later
The problem

It's not the cooking. It's deciding.

Every evening the same conversation, and it wears everyone out. So you end up making the same five dinners, or giving up and ordering in.

"What do you fancy tonight?" "I don't mind, you decide." "We had that last week." "I'm bored of everything we make." "There's nothing in." "Let's just get a takeaway."
40%of UK adults say making dinner is more stressful than enjoyable. For parents it's 52%.
45%often hear "I don't mind, you decide" when they ask what to have.
39%of parents say having meals planned in advance is the one thing that would make mealtimes easier.

How Fridgeii makes it go away

Two minutes on Sunday. No decisions all week.

Fridgeii does the deciding, so you don't have to. Here's what happens to each of those conversations.

"What should we eat?"

Already decided. Plan my week fills all seven nights in one tap, from dinners you like, a mix, or something new. Swap any day you don't fancy.

"I don't mind, you decide."

Nobody has to. Tonight is on the fridge door in big letters, and every phone in the house shows the same week. The question never gets asked.

"I'm bored of our meals."

666 UK dinners across 18 cuisines. Tap Something new and it picks dinners you've never had, spread across different cuisines.

"There's nothing in."

One shop, sorted. The whole week becomes one list by aisle with a cost, or order it from your supermarket in a few taps.

"Let's just get a takeaway."

The easy option is already planned. Quick dinners on weeknights, leftovers and freezer meals lined up for the nights you can't face cooking, and the food's already bought.

"Can the kids eat that?"

Allergies and fussy eaters handled. Set allergies for each person and the foods your house avoids, and the plan steers round them. Always check labels too.

Pricing

Free on your phones. Plus for the clever bits. The screen is extra.

The fridge screen

The fridge tells everyone what's for dinner

A small screen on the fridge door, in sync with every phone in the house. Tonight in big letters, the rest of the week underneath, who's cooking, and a picture view the kids can read. Change the plan on your phone and the fridge updates on its own.

  • 1Magnetic back: sticks to the door, lifts off to charge.
  • 2Pairs by scanning a code with your phone. No typing on the fridge.
  • 3Dims at night, wakes when someone walks into the kitchen.

Two ways to get it on your fridge

Fridgeii Refit Coming soon
Post us your old tablet
£49 one-off, or £69 with a year of Plus

The tablet in your drawer becomes your fridge screen. Post it to us; we wipe it, make Fridgeii the only thing on it, fit the magnetic back and post it back within a week. Cancel any time and we'll restore it to a normal tablet and send it back, free. Android tablets from 2019 on; iPads to follow.

Cable-free: it sleeps and wakes when the fridge door opens, so a charge lasts about a week. Charge it on Sunday. Always on: add a charger and a cable in the length you need, from £10.

Reuse beats buying new: a refitted tablet saves roughly 100 kg of CO₂.

Features

Everything the week needs, in one place

Plan my week in one tap

Pick what we like, a mix or something new, and the free days fill themselves, using up leftovers before they go off.

Shopping list by aisle

The whole week's ingredients, scaled to the people eating, sorted the way the supermarket is laid out, and one tap to order at 13 UK supermarkets.

Allergy-aware, per person

All 14 UK allergens, set for each person in the house. Clashes show on the day before you commit, and Plan my week leaves them out. A guide, not a guarantee: always check the label.

Nutrition and cost per portion

From CoFID, the UK's official food tables, for every recipe. Every meal is costed, so you see the week's total before you shop.

Your recipes, from a photo

Snap Nan's recipe card, paste a link or type any dish, and it's added with the ingredients exactly as written.

Leftovers and freezer

Half a pack of chorizo or chicken thighs left? Fridgeii knows, and suggests a dinner that uses them. The freezer keeps its own tally.

FAQ

Quick answers

Do I need a screen on the fridge?

No, the phones do everything. But it's the best bit: post us an old tablet to refit for £49, or get the Fridgeii Screen ready to stick on.

Can I just open Fridgeii on my own tablet?

The planner works on any tablet. The fridge view only runs on a Fridgeii Refit or Screen: they're locked to Fridgeii, stay awake on the door, dim at night and never get borrowed for YouTube. Send us the tablet you already have and we'll set it up.

What happens to my old tablet when I send it in?

We wipe it completely, install Fridgeii as the only app, fit the magnetic back and post it back within a week. Sign out of your Google or Apple account first; anything on it is gone for good. Android 9 or newer with 2 GB of memory works; we check the model before you post it.

Will it stick to my fridge?

Yes, whatever it's made of. The screen clips onto a slim magnetic pad that sticks to the fridge door, its side, a cupboard or the wall with strong 3M tape, so stainless steel, glass and built-in fridges all work. It holds firm when the door slams, lifts off when you want it, and the pad comes off cleanly later.

How long does the battery last?

About a week. The screen sleeps until the fridge door opens or someone taps it, shows tonight for 30 seconds, wakes for a minute at dinner time, and nudges your phone when it's at 20%. Charge it on Sunday when you plan the week. Older tablets may need charging after 5 or 6 days. You can change all of this in the app, including keeping it on all the time, which is best with the cable.

How long a cable do I need?

Only if you choose always on. The cable runs on the hinge side of the door so opening it never pulls the cable. To measure: decide where the screen goes, pick the socket, then run a piece of string from that spot across to the hinge edge, round the top hinge and along the real route to the socket (round the back, along the worktop, following corners). Add 30 cm for slack and choose the next size up: 2 m (£10), 3 m (£12) or 5 m (£15). Screen on the hinge side of the door going round the back to a worktop socket is usually 3 m. Got it wrong, or moved kitchens? We'll post a longer one.

What if I cancel after a Refit?

We send you a free postage label, restore the tablet to standard Android (as it came from the shop, with the Play Store back), take the magnetic back off and post it back within a week. Your old apps and photos were wiped at the Refit, so they won't come back; your Fridgeii plans and recipes stay in your account in case you return.

Can the whole house use it?

Yes. One household, any number of phones, one shared week and one shared list. Invite the others with a code.

Is it on iPhone?

It runs on iPhone from Safari (Share, then Add to Home Screen). Android comes first, with the Play Store version next and the App Store after.

Where does the nutrition and allergy data come from?

Nutrition comes from CoFID, the UK's official food composition tables. Allergens are flagged by reading each recipe's ingredient names against the 14 UK allergens, set per person.

Can I rely on the allergy warnings?

Use them as a guide, not a guarantee. Fridgeii can't see inside stock cubes, sauces or other ready-made products, AI-written recipes and swaps can get it wrong, and brands change their recipes. Always check every label before cooking. Fridgeii is a planning aid, not medical advice: for a serious allergy, follow your doctor's or dietitian's advice.

What do you do with our data?

Your plans and recipes belong to your household and nobody else can see them. We don't sell data or show ads. You can export or delete everything from the app.
