1. About these terms

These terms are between you and [Fridgeii Ltd, company number and registered address: to be added once registered] ("Fridgeii", "we"). They cover the Fridgeii app, website and fridge screens. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data. By creating an account you agree to these terms. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.

2. Your account and household

• You must be 18 or over to create an account.
• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Everyone you invite to your household can see and change its plans, recipes and lists. Only share your invite code with people you trust.

3. Free and paid plans

The Free plan costs nothing. When paid plans (such as Plus) open, the price will be shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time; you keep what you've paid for until the end of the period. As a UK consumer you can cancel a new subscription within 14 days of buying it; if you've started using it in that time, we may keep a fair amount for the days you used. If we change a price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

4. Allergies, food safety and nutrition

Please read this carefully. Fridgeii flags allergens by reading ingredient names. It can't see inside stock cubes, sauces or other ready-made products, AI-written recipes and swaps can get it wrong, and brands change their recipes. Allergy flags, "free from" swaps and nutrition figures are a guide only, not a guarantee.

• Always check the label of every product before you cook, especially for anyone with an allergy.
• Fridgeii is a planning aid, not medical or dietary advice. For a serious allergy or a medical diet, follow your doctor's or dietitian's advice.
• Follow safe cooking practice: cook meat, fish and eggs thoroughly and check temperatures, whatever a recipe says.

5. AI features

Some features use AI to suggest dinners and to write, import or adapt recipes. AI can make mistakes, including wrong quantities, cooking times or ingredients. Check anything the AI produces before you rely on it. Usage limits apply, and they're higher on paid plans.

6. Recipes and content

• Our recipe library, app and brand belong to us. You can use them for your household's own, non-commercial use.
• Recipes you add stay yours. You let us store them and show them to your household so Fridgeii works.
• Only import recipes for your own personal use, and don't upload anything that's unlawful or that you don't have the right to use.

7. Fridge screens

Fridgeii Refit. You post us a supported tablet; we wipe it, set it up so Fridgeii is the only app, fit a magnetic back and post it back, usually within a week of it arriving.

• Check your model is on our supported list before ordering. Back up anything you want to keep, and sign out of your Google or Apple account, because a locked tablet can't be refitted.
• Everything on the tablet is permanently erased. We can't recover it.
• If your tablet can't be refitted (for example it's faulty, locked or damaged), we'll post it back and refund the Refit price.
• Our work carries a 12-month warranty. It doesn't cover the tablet's own hardware, its battery's natural ageing, or accidental damage.
• If you cancel your plan, we'll send you a free postage label, restore the tablet to standard software, remove the magnetic back and post it back. Your old apps and photos won't come back; your Fridgeii account and recipes stay until you delete them.
• We use tracked postage both ways. If a tablet is lost or damaged while we are responsible for it, we'll put it right.

Fridgeii Screen. When it's available, the Screen comes with your full legal rights: you can return it within 14 days of delivery for any reason, reject it within 30 days if it's faulty, and our 12-month warranty sits on top of your rights.

Mount screens securely and keep cables clear of hinges, heat and water.

8. Using Fridgeii fairly

Don't misuse Fridgeii: no trying to access other households' data, overload or break the service, get round usage limits, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

9. Changes and availability

We're always improving Fridgeii, so features may change. We aim to keep it running smoothly but can't promise it will never be interrupted. If we ever close Fridgeii, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

10. Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights.

11. Ending

You can stop using Fridgeii and delete your account at any time from the app. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously break these terms; we'll tell you why where we can.

12. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
